I guess the split is 50-50. I have designs in the works for both cases, should have parts in a few days.:)

Here is the tail light bucket that will allow any of my bezels to mount to a tail light stand. They are being shown here mounted to a model A stand but will mount the same for '36 stands and other flush mount setups. The buckets are cast also.

Now I am afraid if I buy a couple you'll come out next week with something cooler, there's no end that I can see!

Thanks Big D. The bezels are meant to mimic the '36 Desotos. They are not a replacement and work with standard '50 pontiac tail lights. They are a larger diameter than the factory desotos.

My latest short housing design for model A thru '36. They measure only 3.25 front to back.

The mounting surface on these bullets are designed after the '37 ford tail light so they will mount on the stock '37 stands and the Socal stands. They will also mount on modified model a stands.

**** that's cool, are you running some kind of sand casting simulation before you do the 3D print?

No I learned by trial and error. I my career in the corporate world I used mold flow ****ysis software for injection molded part design and I know it is used in die casting. Those are similar processes where the plastic/metal is injected under extreme pressure to force it into thin sections of the mold cavity. Sand casting is a gravity feed process where thin sections are prone to not filling due to lack of pressure to force the molten metal into thin sections before it freezes and shuts off which is referred to as a miss run. Areas of a part that tend to be thin need to the feed gates to be nearby so they can get that hot metal before it cools.
