I don't know about M***. but here in Ar. our state dmv only keeps records back about ten years, so if it was registerd in the last ten they can give you SOME history on it, but after that it's a lost cause. They also claim that it's against the law for them to give out any info like that, but if I call them ten different times, I'll get ten different answers to my question too.
The ***le is from North Carolina. We have an old 1969 Dodge racecar transporter that was probably owned by Petty back in the day. I'd like to be able to see who bought it originally.
You need someone on the inside. Make friends with a state trooper, they can get you to the salvage and VIN verification dept of your state and get the info you need.
Before trying all the impossible go to the DMV and ask for a vehicle history. In MO they charge about 3 or 4 bucks and print it out on the spot. If that doesn't work then try makeing buddies with a police officer and all the other ****. But always do the easy stuff first.
buy a vehicle that has been in the family/firends of family since it was new....i am the third owner of my 56
