I am looking at torque converters and came across these guys.

Anybody here have any experience with them? Are they good quality?

  3. Dynamic converters in Newark Delaware. I have used at least 8 or 10 from them. Street cars and drag cars. And have had only one that needed changed and they did that for free. If you call talk to Frank or Sean. Gene.

Thanks for the info, guys. I guess I should add that this is for a very stock late 70's Olds 350/ 200-4R combo That I will be putting in my 47 Olds coupe. Definately not a race, or even high performance build. Just looking for a stock type converter to match the Olds motor. Do these guys offer a stock type converter?

Thanks olscrounger. Glad to hear they do good work.

  6. Funny you ask that...just dropped a 200-4R converter off at Dynamic yesterday. Just a stock rebuild for my wife's off topic car. Gene.

You might want to take a look at this kit for controlling converter lockup. I use one on my 700R4 and control the converter and if I want I can turn lockup off with a toggle switch that I install in the control circuit. ..Works great.
