Has anybody had experience or seen how it was done.... converting a 4dr willys sedan into a coupe? I have a 38 presently and have access to a 33. It looks as though it might be easier to convert a 33, but either one looks like it'd be a heck of a challenge. .. would have to scratchbuild 1/4 panels and trunk lid etc as needed for each. By the way neither the 33 or 38 are in good enough shape to finish them as 4dr, so if a person is gonna do that much work, might as well really commit.
A fellow I know just did this conversion and had to fabricate everything from scratch, being a coach builder it was easy for him. I recall seeing work in progress and it was A LOT of work, not for the feint hearted.Ozzie bodies are slightly different to US bodies https://www.facebook.com/BMV-Engineering-212447652139295/photos/?ref=page_internal https://www.instagram.com/chriscobmv/?hl=en
Lee Kay can build all the parts you need for the conversion. I can send you pictures of the 4 door we are turning in to a coupe.
