Fred, there is not a doubt in my mind that 33/34 coupes and sedan are actually nicer looking cars with they slanted grill shells and sleeker fenders, they just look like the are moving when sitting still

I have thought many times over the years had Mr. Burton had a 34 in the shed instead of the 32 coupe would my obsession be slanted in a different direction,I always come to the same conclusion,it probably would.

I honestly believe at one time or another we have all fell in love with a certain car early in life and the one that got in my eyes and I had to have was that 32 5window so many years ago.

I lied to Mr. Burton and my Dad but I got the car,for a few hours I was the happiest 12 year old that ever lived, until dad got home and the lies caught up with me and I lost the car,I learn my lesson about telling the truth and another important lesson in life.

The South is not called the Bible Belt for nothing, ether one can be used to inflict corporal punishment on a kid that doesn't obey their parents. HRP

To be honest. The looks of the 33/34 are much more pleasing. 32's are boxy like the model A.
    I vote over rated.
I would drive and own one until I found a better 33/34.

I believe you are correct that the Deuce roadsters & coupes were cheap and available, they had the first mass produced V8 and that was what sparked many fledgling manufactures to produce speed parts.

At that time many young men bought the 32 tudor & fordors, removed the bodys and the A-V8's were born, the hot rodders saw the LSR and emulated the look with their daily drivers.

The Flathead V8 had a rather long run until 1953 then Ford introduced the Y-block in America in 1954,the Canadians got the flathead one more year in 1954. HRP

A old guy once told me that cursing was the only way an ignorant man knew how to express himself.
I try not to show my ignorance (in that way) as much these days;)......:)

.....but to kind of get back to eating words, I usually talk against headrest and/or high backs in early 60s back cars but saw this, this evening after seeing this thread earlier and........... kind of gotta like the 70s vibe in a way even tho some of it may be later.......so maybe I should say I wouldnt do it but have seen a few that were done back in the day, and.....???:D

I saw a pinstriped sign under the hood of a flamed 40 Ford that said " A 40 without flames is like**** without a tongue".

I've got a friend who had a 98 1/2 ton Chevy 4x4 pickup who looked at my 71 GMC 3/4 ton one day and asked what I was going to do with that "little" truck. I said if he ever broke down I'd tow him home with it. He is the same one that said my 48 wasn't any good because I couldn't take it up in the woods hunting. Didn't tell him it had already been up in the woods hunting more than once.
I've seen very few vehicles I wouldn't drive or ride in because of what they were but I know of several models of vehicles I never want to work on again in my lifetime. That includes one I own that keeps getting pushed back in the list of stuff to be worked on and if I didn't owe money on it it would be gone down the road on a stretcher.

Personally I prefer my 33/34s converted into a thirty two-four.

I don't much like '75 Granada's, but would definitely take the ride in one if needed.

That is typical behaviour towards outsiders when you're recruited into a "Cult" [like the 32 Ford Cult]

I have found that foot in mouth does not taste so bad after enough years of practice, all of my life, mouth starts without engaging brain, but with time and years it's gotten better somewhat. Always tell my wife , it's part of the charm that makes me, ME. Here's a true story from many moons ago, was at a race track talking to a fellow driver first race of year, catching up on winter activity's and a HOT/HOT chick comes walking toward us with huge bouncing Hooters and I say, WOW, check out the Hooter's on that one, she comes up and kisses buddy and he introduced her to me and said " John likes your Hooter's" her reply, "Thank you, nice to meet you" I did not know he split from his wife over winter and a lesson learned, never comment on a girl/woman period, keep these thoughts in your head !

Walked around the shop all day, telling all the guys to kiss my*****...
It's not having the desired effect.
So I guess I'll have to go back to being the "any fool can use foul language" guy.
I just hope I don't disappoint the guy who's posted a pic, several times, of himself giving the finger to the camera.

I used to tell the guys at work: the surest way to eat your words is to state your opinion with absolute certainty.

  29. LOL so now I'm a fool, see if I ever take a ride from you, damn it. :D :D :D

@low budget I bought a car with a pair of these in it once because I liked the head rests. They were flake probably JC Whittney specials, and I may have been slightly inebriated. :D

But just to keep this on track I'll never do that again. :)

Awwwww, 32s aren't so bad. They're the cars Henry practiced on after the model A, while he was designing the 33 ford...kind of an interim car.
