I recently acquired a primo 40 deluxe coupe, The car was in excellent condition for what I received, matter of fact I think it is the only 40 deluxe coupe I have ever seen that has all the original body, absolutely ZERO rust anywhere, No patch panels anywhere, Original floors and trunk including the tool tray, again not one spec of rust. This was last known to be a Washington state registered car. with Washington collector Vehicle plates on it, 16758.
The car HAD been a VERY nice Street Rod, somewhere around 2004 or so it was dismantled and a Bob Drake 4" recessed firewall was welded in, Frame had the x member removed and both rails were boxed from one end to the other, a 9" post installed and they put a Mustang 2 independent front suspension on it. No motor, No trans, No seats, No running boards, No steering, all gl*** is a dark smoke, the instruments were the Bob Drake set with 5 round Auto Meter gauges in an aluminum panel. NICE new Bob Drake grille, everything about the car was nice, it came with a bunch of new not installed Drake pieces.
It had a nice black paint job on it but over the years has developed some scratches and chips, and that is how it will stay, My own little recent survivor.

Anyway.... these photo's are what I received after the purchase.
This is going to be like finding one silver needle in a haystack of golden needles. A black 40 Ford deluxe coupe,.... what would be so hard about finding out information about one in particular (gentle sarcasm).
I do have the owners name, but that is a dead end, I will keep it to myself to verify if anyone comes up with good info.

hopefully someone that knew the car might recognize it and be able to tell me why it is in such Fantastic condition. there were a lot of things in the car that were indications of it being a High Dollar car at some point, it is complete with an original hood, all chrome and stainless are in beautiful condition.
