Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 911 steve, Sep 7, 2017.

  1. LOL way too high maintenance for me and I ride an obsolete Harley so maintenance normally isn't an issue. :p :D

When they channeled the body, if those subrails are gone the value goes way down. oldtimers ruined a lot of cars on the east coast, im related to some of them.

Yep. I say $20K max with a legit matching current ***le that is transferable. That is a lot of the value. A lot less if no paper work or good numbers.

True enough but when she's older and has deep grooves in her shoulders and a hunched posture from carrying the extra weight on her chest she'll look awesome .
Along with that will come a bad back.

Combine that with stretch marks and loose skin once she finally decides to have the implants removed she'll really be attractive then. :D
She may even have a navel between her breasts by then, won't that be special and right up your alley  :D

So yes, each to their own :D:D
Thanks, but I'll take a natural woman. :D

Remember that the buyer sets the price

  8. Can you get him to agree to sell it to you for the amount a professional appraiser says it is worth? If so, hire one. My guess (without being able to look it over in person) is it is worth about $25K.

Seems like 20k would be a fair price. Lots of 3 window only parts missing, and a bunch of donor parts. Just my opinion..

Do a thorough internet search for the owner for 32 3 windows priced around 40k, and then another search around 20k. Then show him the results and he'll quickly see how far out of line his firm price is. He'll never sell it anywhere near 40k. And maybe he's priced there at 40k firm because he really wants to keep it in the family and doesn't want to sell it? We've seen that before with sentimental attachments to cars.
Sure it's a fairly solid 32 3/w, but in reality, that car would/should be completely dis***embled and rebuilt, so it's a starter pile of parts (some of them ****ed up pretty good) and a bummer ***le.

There were two fully restored ones in the V8 Times last month between 45 and 55 and this month a very nice restored California original Cabriolet for 52K and a part restored driving Cabriolet for 32k. Doing the what it would take to get it from here to there math always comes up with a ridiculously low number, in this case you would have to give it away free, but you have to take that into consideration.

The bar for building a 3W is thru the roof, even if you get it for 25K you'll be in it for over 100K by the time its done, that is the kind of car that dictates to you what it needs. You could do a Model A coupe for a fraction of the price and have 2 more windows!

At $40K it's priced so low everyone will think it's junk! Should be a "1" in front of that price!

Ok, excuse me. I had pre-financial meltdown flashback:eek:

I am not a 32 guru...but it does not look vintage / old. 350 SBC not a big winner either and I'm a Chevy guy.

I sold 2 nearly complete genuine 32 roadsters for acquaintances fairly recently on the H.A.M.B. cl***ifieds.
    Buyers and sellers were pleased.
Word your ad to clearly state that it sells to the highest offer with no deadline. Keep track of offers, communicate with the buyers and post several clear photos.
The marketplace will influence the value and the seller should not be greedy.

  24. For some of us the value was not harmed by channeling. I personally think a mega channel is not the way to go with a deuce, I just like the look of the deuce ch***is so the perfect deuce in my minds eye is a mild channel so that the reveal can be seen.

On that car if one was not preserving history it would not be an issue, its not a finished car. As in not yet in paint, so the channel could be changed to suit the owner/builder without ruining a double dose of mile deep lacquer. That said, being an outsider on the deal and not a family member I would be looking at it as a project car. It would be worth a little more than your basic pulled it from a field project because it probably could be driven as changes were being made but a project none the less.

To me it's the sum total of the parts that you can use to build a proper rod plus what you can get out of what you can sell. That said there is that one guy out there that sees it as being his dream car that he always wanted and just needs his personal touches. He's the one that will pay close to that far more than it is actually worth price.

Just googled her (that didn't sound good) the images there are breathtaking. I have no idea what the rest of this thread is about, just really happy you introduced her to us.
