Flat on the trailer on the side of Hwy 5 put us back around an hour...

We passed this guy on the trip....Interior was 1 seat, a shifter, gauges zip-tied into the dash & a WELDER!!

The blue one? I believe is local, I know he rolled in with the red '36, which was painted by fellow HAMB'er "Willies Place" who lives about a mile from here.

Those are teeth off of the cutting bar of an old combine, also used on some mowers too.

 

Its owned by fellow Nor-Cal HAMB'er Macs55...we did the road trip (all 17 hours of it!!) with him.

 

Loved the gassers! Reminded me of some good times!

missed you there this year, it was a good weekend.

We had friends with us from England, and met several people we had no idea were coming out from there as well.

She would have died in the traffic between Bako and Vegas. We weren't able to chase down overheating problems in time for VLV. Oh well! She gets driven every other day!

That was the only one I took, its an English Hillman Husky Wagon. I really liked it, the guy who owned/built it was quite surprised when we asked him if it was a Husky.

Interior was all aircraft themed, steering wheel, seats, controls & instruments....very cool, and VERY different.

I took a long look at this ride on Friday. At first I was put off, but after checking it out, the work is very well done. The interior looks like some sort of WWII bomber. The styling still has me scratching my head, especially the rear wheels. Work in progress?
