Vintage shots from days gone by!

My guess is this is a pretty wealthy young man. This was a time when most race cars were flat towed, and he has a trailer WITH matching custom wheels AND an over the top paint job. Can't afford all that flippin' burgers!

 

I saw a pic here on the HAMB I really need to see again, searched but can't find it. A couple months ago. Guy was on a track in a pre or post war Ford. He was standing up in the windshield space, looking back, one hand on the wheel one hand up in the engine. Ring any bells? Thanks!

 

Jeeeeez... look at the spring pack on that thing!

 

I saw one like that a couple of years ago, Said the throttle linkage broke so he leaned through the windshield to work the carb and came in third, I saved it.... somewhere... I'll post it if I come across it.

 

Thanks for the kind words guys! I enjoy doing this, my main interest in life is history.
I wonder about the people in the photos, their lives and times. Their cars are obviously very important to them too.

 

I had an uncle who raised Herefords, He was a Dodge man, the only car worth buying.
I loved going to visit, being in the fields in summer, the animals.
There are of course, still family farms. But still.......

Most modern cars will run circles about our favorites - be realistic.
