  2. Just would like to say thanks for the great art everyone. I haven't been home, to do a sketch lately. So I took this of an old one lane bridge, and my good friend moose, who is following me. Ron... 20170901_125818.jpg

I don't claim to have any artistic talent, so I'm kinda of a poser,
IMG_5848.JPG but I do have a free app on my phone called "Pencil Sketch". I really like the way this turned out.

I know this is a photo filter and that you think of it as cheating. Some or many may agree but something interesting happened to this on the way to market... It actually brings out a very strong artistic element, COMPOSITION.
It is a pretty well composed shot, wether intentional or not. That is the most important ’basic’ element of photography. well, maybe pro rate equipment would argue... I’d be interested in seeing the raw color version.

I agree with Jigger, composition is paramount and you nailed it with this photo, even choosing to use the pencil sketch filter on it was an artistic decision that turned it into a very nice image. I view photos as raw material for digital editing. I'm no pro photographer and the technical side of photography bores me to death, so I just try to capture good compositions and then play with them on the computer. If the composition isn't good to begin with nothing else will save it.

PaperCamera2013-02-02-16-18-22.jpg OK, if you can use pencil sketch how about paper camera? Took this pic driving my '34 3 window on old Florida hwy 441 on the way home from Misfires Ground Hog Gala, ground hog day, 2013. 3 grand on the tach was about 80 with the old gears, tires.

I got it it, Jigger! Your 3rd cartoon in post #3 is named "I'll be seeing you" after the Billie Holiday song of that name. The guy driving the A coupe is singing the last 2 lines, "I'll be looking at the moon.... But I'll be seeing you".

Here is a sketch that I did draw 60 years ago Screenshot_2015-10-31-07-31-43.png I was probably looking at a similar sketch or picture in a '56 or '57 Rod & Custom when I did it!

Only a few more days.... A guy here in Milwaukee is leaving on Monday in his '32 Rdstr....
