    Hey guys

It's time to change the diff in this 1953 Chevy. The car has a Holden diff with 2.78 ratio at the moment. The car will have a T5 and the ratio needs to be up around 3.7. The gears in the diff aren't interchangeable though so the whole thing needs to be swapped.

I found a 1968 Nova diff for sale. It has no drums, and is an open diff with only 3.0 gears. But it's cheap. Before I got complicating things for myself I'd like to tap into the vast knowledge base here for a few things.

Would the HQ Holden drums I already have bolt on to the Nova diff?

Being that it is an open diff, could I install a new gear ratio with LSD? I feel there might be an aftermarket kit that does this.

Also will the U joints be interchangeable?

There are also a few 55/56/57 chevy diffs around for a similar price if they might be a better option.

    Cheers guys [emoji108]
