I've searched and haven't had any luck. I'm sure this combo had been used hundreds of times already: 350 turbo to a 9" Ford rear. I thought about starting with a chvy driveshaft so I know the slip yoke is correct. The width of the yoke on the rear end is 3 1/4" where the u-joint caps mount, and uses 1 -1/16" cups/caps. Theres one of you guys that have done this a few times and can tell me all the right pieces I need. Thanks in advance for your help. The length will wind up close to 45" if that helps. Tim

There are combo U-joints to solve what ever problem you can make.

Here's a good reference on u-joints. Most drive line shops can mix yokes to make what you need. This will tell you what you have and what you need.

A chevy drive line would be easy to just change u-joint at the rear to adapt to the ford rear. Good luck on finding one the right length, most will need to be shortened.

Yep, I'm prepared to have to shorten it and there is a shop locally that can balance it.

If you know your specs on u-joint size for both the drive shaft and the ear axle yoke, you can go to Summit or Jegs website and look up Lakewood u-joints. find the specs you need and order. I have no idea what the drive shaft was from in 51 chevy, but found a Lakewood u-joint at Jegs that worked perfect. not cheap( I think I paid $70 for one), but a good u joint, and worked perfect.

****er and Neapco are fine. I blew a blow-proof Lakewood in a stock car, last lap of the race while in the lead.

1.062 cup indicates a 1310 series yoke. There is a Car Quest u-joint PDF file online, lots of pages, but lots of information.

If it has to be shortened anyway, they can change out the yoke for one that fits the 9" Ford. Driveline Spe******ts is a very knowledgeable place

I had an entire driveshaft made for my Ford last year, all top shelf components. I just supplied the Muncie front yoke, ran me $300 total.
