Hot Rods You Meet The Nicest People On The HAMB

Well I thought I would just continue this thread since it was mine anyway. Meeting HAMB people is one of the great perks of the site. I met HRP (Danny & Brenda) a while back when visiting S.C.. And now feel like they are old friends! I met Swifty (Swifty) & His Son Cory (Flatoz) from Australia at a show in CT. last week and had them visit my Wife and I yesterday at our house. We had such a nice day. Just great people. Look forward to spending more time with them in Hershey next week. Lots of good people on this site!

 

Way back when I first joined the HAMB things and people were a bit rougher. Guy had a restored 1930's dirt track car listed for sale and people were *****ing about the asking price. I posted something about my friend that had restored the car back in the 1970's, even mentioned taking a Dayton wire on an airplane as luggage to match the three on the car, (try that today). Got a real nice reply, and we became real good friends. Finally meet the week before Hershey, what a memorial trip that was with a split top tank on my Ford van radiator. Cool, add water and another tube of JB Weld every 45 minutes, finally got there around seven Tuesday evening. noboD, the guy that first told me about the HAMB had a new radiator lined up the next day and we did the swap in the flea market. Bluto is in Poland now, just had a nice phone chat with him yesterday, sure miss him and Z, the dirt car never sold, one of the nicest ones in Poland now. Bob
