Hey,it only has three windows right? I think this is the ride height I'm going for, maybe a little lower? Keep your eyes peeled for the "chop it" pictures from this weekend!
Vap, I'm just curious, how much did it cost to have your cab, doors, and dash blasted? I've got to have that done to my Coupe Express, and I'm wondering what a ballpark price would be to have this done. Thanks, Thor
Looks like some good "tin" to start with. Did you have it media blasted or sandblasted? Crossing my fingers on media....otherwise you'll have some warped panels (unless the blaster knew what he was doing) Good luck on the project
Funny I was thinking the same thing. That cab and doors are in awesome shape. Definitely lookin' forward to the chop photos. RRR
Hillybilly three window.Hmmm I like that. The cab has been a big brown square all the years I have owned it. (traded a intake manifold for it) It was sun baked,no paint and pure brown surface rust. I had the cab, doors, dash, and windshield frame parts sand blasted. A local place did it.12 minutes away from home. Total cost;$250.oo That was a good deal in my book. Working on floors now, then bracing, pictures to follow..tonight? Chopping 4 inches Sat.night.Y'all welcome to stop by and have a beer!
A1 in Golden, CO did my '48 Caddy Sedanet...inside, outside, bottom and frame...complete car for $450.00...A1 has been doing it for tons of years...they do not warp anything... R-
How tall are (or aren't?) you? Just asking because if you chop it.....holy no legroom/headroom batman.
Oh man, you really had me going for a minute Eric. That body looks great man. I really regret selling my 32 cab.
Man that cab looks to be in a lot better shap than the 34 that Chaz has!! We chopped it 4 inches also. here is the link to the chop http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100758&&showall=1
Both of my PU"s are chopped 4 inches and just right. No problem for me, the little lady says I have the perfect Hot Rod shape short and thick. LOL
