In California you have to have vehicle verification. That means you need to have the DMV or a peace officer identify the Vin Number. I don't know if its the same in every state. I just had to do this on a 58 Truck

The easy way is if you know the guy whos name is on the ***le and he will go along with you to the DMV and they will have you both sign some paper work and the new one will come back to you in your name. Thats the way it works here in NC......and its all nice and legal.

  6. Tried asking the DMV? It's different in every state and it varies state to state, you need someone who knows what hoops to hop through and what games to play in Indiana. Editing the ***le of the post to include that might help -

In NY there's no ***les, just registration and all you need are two forms, proof of VIN and a weight slip (sometimes not even that) - you don't even need to have it notarized. it's so easy it's stupid -
