Dont give up -CARS- are to be had still- in the damndest places!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by choprods, Apr 20, 2006.

  1. Today I was in the local Liscense bureau of all places...
Looking for info on a trip permit for a 2 ton box truck I recently bought in Illinois.
I was gettin the 3rd degree on all the legalities involved and after hearing them I [in my head] decided to have a dealer buddy go wit me and :D supercede this ******** paperwork!
WELL.....on the way out of the place one of the girls workin there recognizes me and calls me over to her desk.
I walk over half expectin to be chewed on a second round, but instead she spurts out "do you know anyone who wants a 57 Bel Air?"
In my best Don Knotts impersonation- I say .....errrr -uhhh ,me?

Long story short she directs me to a location to see the car......3 miles from home-
It is instead a 57 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door hardtop.....setting there with no wheels but otherwise complete........bought it my friends!=75 dollars!!!!
GO FIGURE......Oh and to top this -IT HAS NO ***LE!!HA HA HA!

    Nice!

Man - 75$ is something I could maybe afford. Don't get me wrong - I'd still get in **** for buying it, but have a better chance of justifying it for that price!

So was there a sign on it (75$), or did you have to kncok on a door? do some haggling? just ask about it's history?

The rear end ( 9 inch ) is worth more than you gave for the car.....
The 57 housing is the BEST ONE ..IMHO....:D

Nice round backside and a drain plug on the bottom.......nice and short too...Perfect for a 32 to 40 Ford as is.....

  21. :D Hey maybe you could take her to lunch to show your appreciation. Who knows, maybe you two might hit it off. Not to mention you would become Mr. Popular with a "in" at the DMV....:D Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
