That rear-engined thing is great looking. As I recall, it wasn't competitive, but what's its whole story?

 

This is what I have gleaned without reading the facts. I do see many panels are not the same as original b&w pic I posted but there was likely mods along the way but typical of these racers a high level of craftsmanship is evident.

50 we seen this over and over throughout our working lives. Timing, circumstance, decisions...not all good ones. At least it survived. What a beauty. Wouldn't that be a hoot to blast around the track?

i posted this, not for the engine but for what the louvers add by bringing light into the engine compartment. adds a bunch of shapes and layers.

 

I've been doing a couple of things to the Hotrod over the last little while and this view has been quite common over that period.

 

Had 130 punched in the new decklid skin by Mr. Winfield.

 

That is pretty darn special...hell meeting or getting schooled by him is alreadly an honor. Nice compliment to the Hotrod Green...

I just recently completed a 250 mile one way adventure with the Ole Hotrod and well it was a fun time. It ran fantastic...This place in the pic (Gibbs Gas Station, Circa 1935) I have driven by so many times and always marveled at two old cars that sat in a clump of bushes to the side. I always said that the owners of those cars didn't pay for the work done and well they sat and sat... I did snap a pic of them last year and low and behold they were taken away shortly after. The old building is sagging a little with age and may soon disappear but for now it makes a great backdrop for a picture...Anyhow the louvers look great what can I say.
