History Master Deluxe vs 85 what are the differences 1939 Chevy

    Hey guys

    Im set on a 1939 chevy im looking at a few and see the 85 and master deluxe. From what i see the lower 85 is more rare. What is the main differences ?

    I think the 85 does not have the Independent front suspension and vacuum ***isted wipers,

    can anyone chime in ?

    Master 85 is the cheapy think most had beam axles, all 39's had same vacuum wiper set-up.

    so other then the solid front axle what else was different ?

    MD has nicer upholstery, 2 sun visors, lighter, an ashtray, armrests, more bright metal. Independent suspension must have been an option on the 85, as I once owned a sedan delivery with it ... same with the vacuum shift.
    Old Car Manual Project has a lot of literature for you to look at ...
