Need a parts number for a speedometer drive cable for a 5/8"x 18" thread. It's going to a Saginaw 4 speed transmission. Any help is appreciated. 22308765_1473297779372500_2107495094932102443_n.jpg 22366803_1473297776039167_2508306848289283393_n.jpg

get a speedo cable for a GM car or truck up to the mid 60s, it should fit.

There are different lengths, you didn't specify, so it's hard to give you the correct part number.

yup, but from a style perspective, Lokar stuff and Moon stuff are mutually exclusive, aren't they?

I'd say somewhere in the 60 inch range. The transmission is a 74 Vega 4 speed.

Any good speedo shop should be able to make one to order. Not that many around but there are still some, maybe try a big truck repair shop. I had one made by a local shop to mate the Watson 3 speed auxiliary trans in a '40 Ford big truck I had to a Stewart Warner Speedo no problem.

or just drive down to your local parts store and buy one...it's not a special part, by any means.

The local parts store wants an OEM application. The speedometer is not OEM. 5/8"x18" thread and a .104 square drive doesn't mean anything to them.

    Like I said...pick a mid 60s or older GM car. LIke a 1964 Belair, 283 engine, 3 speed transmission.

Are you sure it doesn't have the correct thread? The last one I bought, did...
