Just a heads-up on behalf of the Vendetta's Car Club (hope those guys don't mind me promoting their show). If you're a HAMBer within driving distance to Raleigh, NC, the Vendetta's are holding their 3rd annual show in downtown Raleigh, NC. The show is on Saturday, April 22, and features traditional rods/customs, live music, cold beer, and a laid-back atmosphere. For details just click here: http://www.vendettascarclub.com/shows.htm The show has gotten bigger and better each year, and this year will be no exception. There's been a bunch of new NC HAMBers sign-up since last year, so hopefully they will be able to make it out. If you've been to the Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston-Salem, BS&G has a similar vibe, but with more focus on the cars. According to the Vendetta's website, "Hearts and Daggers" and "The Straight Eights" will both be playing at Slim's Downtown on Friday night. I've seen both of these bands live and they kick mucho ass. There's also a huge (free) city parking deck right behind Slim's, so no worries there. There are also four other bands playing at The Aries Lounge on Saturday night (after the show), so you can definitely get your hotrod and music fix all weekend long. Hope to see ya there. -murph
We were supposed to be going.....since the wagon screwed up it eaten away all the fun money and now we couldn't even afford gas to get up there.....
I should be there. I can't wait. I was going to the IHRA night of fire until I saw it was the same weekend. rockingham= out BSG=in.
Well hell, since rockingham is only about 20 minutes from me I might have to go to that since i can't afford the trip to Raleigh....I had completely forgot about it.
It cost to much for me to get in. I think it was 40 or 50 dollars last year. Witch if it wasn't for BSG I would still try and go.
Well shit, it it's that much I won't go. That's about the same as the gas money to drive to Raleigh! I think we might have some coupons for it at work though, I'll have to double check.
I`ll be there but I just sold the 58 and the Caddy is in the shop...migght just paint the Altima flat black w/ red rims
Thanks Murph, I'll try to be there. Found a car, made a guy an offer he liked, then told me no because he didn't have the title...car is still advertised for sale...beats me...
Sheesh, unless it's a SMOKIN deal, probably not worth the hassle of getting it registered/titled in NC (without a title to start with). Did you post a WTB in the HAMB classfieds? Never know what might turn up. Of course, with the price of shipping these days, I can see why you might be looking locally. I'll keep an eye out for you Saturday. -murph
There is also a cool cruise....in Kannopolis NC......on the same day....April 22 Remembering Dale Earnhardt Cruise...... Click on the link for more info...... http://www.kannapoliscarshow.com/ I would go, But I am going to the Johnny Paycheck......in Georgia....
i'm planning on being there, 51 chevy pick-up (bright blue/flat black front-end) looking forward to it.
I'm there even after a 5000 mile trip to and from Vegas! Hell what's another couple hundred miles. BloodyKnuckles
Ha Ha! Man that's awesome... it will definitely be cool to hang out again. I was wondering if you made the VLV trip or not... guess you answered my question. Looking forward to hearing about your trip on Saturday. -murph
Everytime I see this thread I get mad at my car all over again ......Guess it'll be ok to save it for HRW like I ended up having to do with the 53 last year!
I'll be there... black/black '54 chevy... possibly washed. How'd the trip go to VLV bloodyknuckles (Ron)?
Great bro. I got lots of stories! Oggie was a no-show, fuckin punk!! I'll see you sat. BloodyKnuckles
I can't wait. I hope to see you guys there. BloodyKnuckles I definately want to see your car in person. I love the pics of it.
Hell I had to listen to Necro, Liam, Ryan...etc tell me stories starting w/ "GD Randy man you should have been there."
Man, I hope your son had a great time. What was he driving? There was actually 35+ cars entered in the show, with other cool spectator rides in the parking lot. Although the weather likely impacted attendance this year, BS&G has always been about the quality, and not the quantity of cars. Please be sure to thank your son for supporting the show!!! -murph
I had to work and then got my directions mixed up so it was over by the time I got there. Anyone have pics? I did get A chance toi see some rides. Saw a cool flatblack and white buick. I talked with that dude. I don't drink any more and had to get back to my pregnant wife so I missed the concert also.
BS&G3 pics here And it sounds like you were talking with Rush. Come earlier next year and bring your wife and baby. -murph
