Hi every body! My name is Egor. I am from Saint - Petesburg, Russia. Last 7 years were spend on building of my Gaz f-153. Actually, I ream about Ford f100 53-56, but is it real problem to foud in Russia, that's why I took old 3,5 tonns truck Gaz 53's cab, chassis from chevy Maliby and SBC 305 engine and mix... Now you can appreciate this.
Hot rodding is all over the world!!!! That's a very nice truck, Gavrilov...very nice. It is great to have HAMB members from Russia.
I have two '56s, & this is too cool! Totally diggin' it! Sent from my XT1585 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Nice truck! It sure has the styling cues of the 53-55 F-100 right down to the fender well contours. I'm so used to seeing a F-100 grille that the Gaz grille really throws me off. It's like a Jeep Forward Control grille.
Thanks alot for your comments. Later I will post some pics from the begining. And this is original truck's foto. Truck was presented me on my birthday by my wife .
Amazing job you've done there ,,it's beautiful,,how big is the early car scene there ?,,,,Gaz must be Russian for Ford ?,,love this emblem with the hammer and syckel,,
I would love to hear the story of your build and the obstacles you had to overcome for it to turn out so nicely. Great job. I'd love to ride around in St. Petersburg and watch the reaction of the people on the street.
These pics from 2011. It was first version of my Gaz. Cab from junkyard. I produced basket using 2mm. steel. Frame was forsed by additional pipes.
OUTSTANDING WORKMANSHIP! Very impressive skills you have. I am supposing you also fabricated the rear fenders too. Thank you very much for posting this project and hope you will post more. Ray
WOW! Great job and metal skills Egor. Your trucks end result is very impressive and stunning to say the least.
Thx. I visited two times local car shows and people were really confused due to nobody knows this model before.
It was really hard story. First of all it was my first experience of metal work and welding, and after fwd fenders which were modified from stock, I understand that have not sufficient skills for continue. I made the model of rear fender and depart my truck to local professional workshop. They spend alot of time for work with my Gaz. I visit work shop many times and work together with professionals. I am on last photo.
That fender fabrication is even more impressive. I thought maybe you had made rear fenders from several front fender sections. Very nice work all around. Ray
When I look at this truck, I see a great example of what you can do with the materials that are at your disposal. Great truck and great pictures. Welcome to the H.A.M.B. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
