This is GAZ M-20 "POBEDA" (VICTORY)

 

I saw one of these trucks in Afghanistan in 2004 as a dump truck. It didn't have front fenders and I always loved it when the guy would come bouncing around the yard to deliver rock. It was like the period perfect hot rod dump truck with big front straight axle and all.

Fine lookin' truck, fine job!!

 

After first ride I understand that quality of truck is very low and started again. The cab was send to junkyard back. I took parts from Green truck and commence rebuild of fenders, grill and others that were done in our local work shop.

Great looking truck! I hope to make it to st. Petersburg someday maybe I'll see it crushing the streets! , how often do you get to drive it? What do the locals think about it?

 

Actually I just finish and crused only few evenings in the begining of september. Every body on the road smile. But now I live my home for work and truck in garage till next summer.
