Seems to have a consistent mis-fire at idle. Revs smoothly, but almost feels like one cylinder isn't firing at idle. I sourced a replacement distributor cap and rotor. Might make up a purdy set of cloth plug wires to go with them...

Having a hell of a time finding a replacement distributor cap and rotor for the Nash. Since the engine's been replaced, and there are several iterations of distributors that went on these engines, neither the one for the 47 Nash 600 or the 54 Nash Statesman that this engine probably came from fit.

The distributor is a Delco Remy 1112382.

Ac Delco still makes cheap distributors and rotors that fit the 54 statesman. Anybody have any idea where to get a cap and rotor for the Remy distributor??

Here's some reading material that might help you out...

Scroll down to about page 10 for the rotors and caps. You might also PM GMCBubba and see if he has an old catalog that lists parts by distributor ***embly number.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

I drained all the nasty varnished gas out of the Nash, replaced the inline filter, and added 10gal of ethanol-free 90 octane from our local marina. Car still has a miss at idle, and hesitation and part throttle. It will run and drive, just not sewing-machine smooth like it should be. I'll probably pull the carb back off and clean it to make sure that none of that ****ty fuel is gumming it up.

If the weather holds, there's a free car show coming up close to home this week, and I'd love to take the Nash. Company called Right Stuff does a bunch of brake lines and fuel lines for cl***ic cars. It's Goodguys weekend in Columbus and a bunch of those guys show up.
