Wow, can't believe it. Roy is /was one smart/sharp guy. Cool Salt car too.Great stuff they have . RIP Roy

  3. Spoke with him several times, years back at different events they were at. Seemed like a regular hot rod guy, who loved his hobby enough to do it as a business.

Only met Mr. Lewis once, briefly, when I went to the shop to pick up an order. He graciously gave me a brief tour and I did get to see the Bonneville car and a rack of Hemi's. IMO, Ch***is Engineering produces good quality parts at reasonable prices and that is, no doubt, a reflection of Mr Lewis' standards. Rest in Peace....and condolences to family, friends and co-workers.

A cl***y and knowledgeable guy who founded a cl***y and honorable business. He was always ready to answer a question and help. C.E. parts adorn all my Chevys. He will be missed by many. Condolences to family, friends, employees and all with whom he dealt. R.I.P. Roy.

I experienced Roy's generosity when he loaned me some Pullmax tooling several years ago.

I've been using his suspension and engine/trans mounts since the 80s. I stopped in West Branch just to see his shop; all business, nothing fancy, good reliable parts and down to earth guy. RIP Roy.

Roy was a cl*** act,he used his vast knowledge to manufacture components that the average guy with no experience could ***emble a safe frame with just bolt on components.

I have used most of the parts he designed for the 39/40 Fords and I could have a rolling frame in a weekend.

I have used several of his axles.he will be missed but he has left a indelible mark on hot rodding as we know it! HRP
