Looking for some advice from Manitoba hot rodders here on the hamb. Finishing a full fendered 5 window deuce for a Manitoba, Canada customer. Wondering if the car is required to have bumpers? Any other licensing/safety hitches for Manitoba I need to be aware of as we finish this car? many thanks.

  4. I've been informed (unofficially) that the rules regarding fenders are being re-written at this time. So in the very near future we will not need fenders. As far as I know though, and more in keeping with your question, bumpers will still be required. I'll try and get more information but it may take a few days and will still be unofficial, at least for the time being.

I prefer the look of bumpers on a full fendered 32 so that wouldn't be an issue with me.

47 Fords had defrost. Just a little heater boss under the dash and two tubes running to small vents under the windshield

Here in Iowa,USA, I got by with having a vintage school bus fan for a windshield defogging device. I still have mine mounted, but could easily be removed. My fenders and bumpers fell off about a week after my inspection and I've never been hassled in 30K mi.

thx for the input. it will remain full fendered, lots of money/work making it so. Unchopped 5w looks good with them on. thanks for the input, much appreciated.

Isn’t the factory defrost opening the windshield a little? They didn’t say it has to work well
