Alright, I just got a call from fellow HAMB'er Begborrowandsteel. His car was running fine this afternoon and so he headed up to peteluma. Once there the car started to idle a little rough so he put it into nuetral and reved it. The idle just kept getting slower and slower until it stalled. When he looked under the hood he saw that the carb was leaking gas under the base. Does anybody know what this could be? Pretty sure its a carb. issue, but you know how that goes.

Incase you need it he is running a 55 plymouth with stock 2bbl carb and manifold.

I know Brewsir is sorta close to there and Seret Customs is up in that neck of the woods....

Nate is in Martinez as well.

I can try to call any of them if he needs a hand. I am 2 hours south

ditto on the float ...either it broke a pivot flange or sank ...

  6. Well i got the car going fine after about three hours, i took out the carb and looked at it and i couldn't seem find anything wrong (nothing looked broken.) so i put it all back together bolt it it back on the manifold and started her up, still ran rough so i kept goosing it too keep it alive then i figured i might try readjusting the mixture, reason i didn't do this early was because since the weather around town was warming up big time i had already retuned the mixture a day earlier, so i gave the screws a spin and it ran fine!
