Does anybody know if a 1954 lincoln capri hood fit a 1954 mercury????

working on this. cut the linc hood and grafted it to the merc hood.

 

Did you get a lot of warpage on that low crown panel?

 

Yah, it warped a little. I tried to keep it cool by moving around with the welds, but its a large flat area. The Merc hood was pretty bent from the previous owner reefing the shit out of it to open it with seized hinges. I didn't have much to loose with trying this mod. I still need to hammer and dolly for a bit, and do a little twisting, but its fairly close.

 

I'm actually on the hunt for a Lincoln hood or something similar to take the bulge out of my 54 hood also. The hood and headlight buckets are two things I do not like on this year car
