NO MORE PHOTOBUCKET RED X'S,and it won't cost you a dime!

Discussion in 'Questions & Suggestions' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Oct 28, 2017.

  1. I posted this under the Questions & Suggestions yesterday but realized this would be seen by more members and help solve a problem created by photobucket.

A friend of mine who is a lot more computer savvy than me and not a hamb member was looking at Quain Stott's Moonlighter thread and was telling me how great it was and I told him he should have seen it before photo bucket screwed it up by blocking the photos and he told me there are a couple of browser add ons to restore the photos....and he was right, after I installed the appropriate addon I was viewing a lot of photos the were previously red X's.

Possibly a lot of you guys already know about this but it's new to me.

For you guys that don't this will restore the photo's and make the threads a lot more enjoyable. HRP

  5. The addons only work with the photobucket images, there are also red X's that have been posted by members who have posted from their PC's and this addon won't cure that.

    Who is your IP? HRP

  7. Click on the p icon on the top right of your tool bar and then go to manage extensions and make sure you have the allow in incognito checked or it won't work.

Does this mean each user has to install it, or just the OP? The add-in link for FF wasn't clear.

AWESOME installed it and my photos from shitbucket ARE ALL BACK on another site. :)

Very easy to do, add to your addons just by clicking on it then presto change oh they are back. I had NO PROBLEMS and it couldn't be easier. I didn't have to do anything or change any settings just installed it that is it.

  22. That's great and it's like magic, hopefully everyone can do this and enjoy all the threads that have been red X'ed. HRP

    Danny,

Firefox has a couple of screenshot add on's that will capture the photos and you can save the photos to your desk top. Therefor all is good....

In Firefox on the menu bar on the far right click on the "Open Menu" icon. On the drop down screen click on the "Add-ons icon. On the left side menu click on "Get Add-ons" Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the Blue box that says "See more Add-ons" Once you're on the Firefox add on page in the search bar on the upper right type in "Screenshots" The first two results
Awesome Screenshot Plus - Capture, Annotate & More and
Nimbus Screen Capture: Screenshot, Edit, Annotate will appear. Both will copy the photo or anything else on the page to be saved where ever you want it on your computer. They are both incredibly simple to use. As far as Chrome, Windows, and other operating systems goe I'm not familiar with them at all so you are on your own unless someone else chimes in.

What Danny found was ironic because I was just thinking about this very problem today. Thanks again Danny for turning us all onto this simple app.

  30. I'm just passing on something I felt was important to the integrity of hundreds of threads that have images that were hosted by PB and they can once again be viewed.

I'm just happy it has worked for most,it has saved some great threads. HRP
