  3. It is apparent you haven't read the rules as per your list of cars owned.

    68 C10 Fleetside LB, sbc/700R4, 64 Chevy II (just sold), 02 Harley, 96 & 14 Camry's, 03 Accord, and one pressure washer.

Since you sold your 64 Chevy II I would hope your pressure washer is pre 65.:D HRP

  16. Never paid it any attention until this post.

Dude, did you miss the grin at the end of my post, lighten up, your a grown man and you get excited about me pulling your chain?

The reference of not reading the rules refereed to listing late model cars (96 & 14 Camry's, 03 Accord) and you obviously HAD a sense of humor when you posted your pressure washer. HRP

    Again,lighten up. HRP

  17. RULES

The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to hoodlums world wide. That's right; TRADITIONAL. If you've come here to discuss anything other than Hot Rods or Customs built in a style representative of 1965 or before, you've come to the wrong forum.

Even if you have come here for all the right reasons, don't expect posting to be easy. We don't cater to new fellas unless they show a dedication to spreading this tradition of ours first. We welcome young, old, foreign, and all; but our original members and our staff expect a certain level of respect and an effort to keep things true and on topic.

Maybe you are an old fart with a past. Maybe you are one of the guys that started this tradition we cherish. We built this place for you and your posts mean the world to us. Hop on and introduce yourself. This is your board.

Still reading? Then you must be cut out for this, right? We recommend you read some more. Check out all the forums, develop an understanding for how things work around here, learn the "do's"; and "dont's"; The key to a happy HAMB newbie is to understand the joint BEFORE you begin posting.

We have very few written rules here on the HAMB and that's the way we like it, but we won't hesitate to dump disruptive posters, ego freaks, or shit talkers. We are all here to learn and teach - please keep your other prerogatives on the sidelines.

    ................................

    Rules:
    1. No profanity in subject lines.

    2. No political/religious/racial posts at all. No exceptions.

    3. No Porn.

    4. We cover traditional '65 and older American cars only. All other threads will be deleted. We don't cover rat rods, muscle cars, mustangs, or VWs.

    5. No commercial posts.

    ................................

    Guidelines:
    1. If in doubt, don't post it.

    2. Stay on-topic and relevant with your posts; OT posts aren't generally appreciated by our membership.

    3. Gotta easy question? Try using the search function first.

    4. While we don't require "introductions," some members do appreciate them so it might be a good idea for you to do one here. Just introduce yourself and let folks know what you are all about.

    5. As mentioned throughout these guidelines, the H.A.M.B. focuses on TRADITIONAL hot rods and customs. Posts pertaining to traditionally inspired, but not quite period perfect belong on the main forum found here. Please note that we don't focus on things such as modern fuel injected motors, big-inch wheels, frame clips, after market independent suspensions, etc... at all on the H.A.M.B.. As such, posts that stray away from the "traditional inspired" will be deleted.

    6. Posts about period correct hot rods should go here.

    7. Posts about period correct customs should go here.

  23. Mark, one of the moderators & I posted the rules, nowhere in the rules does it say you have to own a pre 65 car or truck.

I poked fun at you mentioning your pressure washer and assumed you had a sense of humor, man was I wrong.

All of a sudden I am the bad guy.

The reason behind the reply's is you keep harping about being told the rules and and still continue to do so,lashing out and continuing to do so will not help your cause!

BTW, How long have you been a Mason? HRP

My name is Marvin not Mark, Sorry I read and understood you have to own a pre 65 car my mistake there (done).

The only reason I said anything about a pressure washer is because it runs on gas like the rest of my cars that's all, wasn't meant to be funny (done).

No you are not the bad guy in my eyes, I guess you & the others here just have different kinds of a sense of humor, sorry mine isn't like yours (done)

I am Not a Mason but all of my past & some present relatives are. I have been brought up around them and do find myself acting like one so that's why I use that Avatar (done)

Done Done Done at least I am.

    Marvin,

    You are welcome here.
No you do not have to own a topic years car BUT subject matter posts are for 65 and older cars.
    No Pony cars - Mustangs - Camaro's or VW's.

Subject matter is Traditional ERA Hot Rods and Custom Cars and trucks from the 30's to Mid 60's.

Some times with good intentions other fellas try to have fun with Newbies which sometimes does not quite come out clearly if you don't see it as fun or ribbing.

    Thanks and Welcome.

I actually came here to find out what year of Truck was in a picture I posted and I did get a quick response on it and with that I though these guys are pretty sharp so I said I'll stay for a while and see what comes next, Well guess what came next Ribbing & Fun with a Newbie.
I see there "fun or ribbing as childish and because they can Hide behind a computer screen in my eyes is a form of Bullying just not my idea of having fun. If they think they have to have there little fun time that way well I just don't have any respect for them at all. I have seen many other forums loose there "Newbies" real quick just because the "Elders" (if that's a good way in putting it) having there so called Fun with the newbies. Might be a little harsh for your Elders but I call that fun play "playing in the Sand Box". just my $.02

    Marvin,

There was no bullying going on.
    Misinterpreted is more like it.
You asked a question about year of vehicle ( then listed what you own - which included a power washer which I thought was funny myself ) and got an answer on what the years the HAMB focus is.
Other guys thought you were having fun including your power washer and asked you if it was pre 1965.......
Not the case of thinking it was funny in your eyes....so be it.
Guys will see this post and your .02 note and move on to another post.

The HAMB is not big on drama so we'll leave it at that.

Welcome to the HAMB regardless if you don't have a Pre-65 car.
