the owner of one of the hotels said that there are lots of room reservations from califonia, nevada, texas, new mexico, and arizona...

so there is definately going to be a big crowd!!!

looks like my plan of being able to park 350 cars, isnt going to be enough!!!!!

just got a call from tombstone city, they just added 60 more parking spaces for us, so we should have plenty of room for cars and bikes, i think we are up to 300 availible parking spaces!!!

as much as i like car shows and new things going on in AZ.. why would this be held when it's 100 degreees out!! i guess im just a puss tho.. i hate the heat.. hahah .. they tried doing something like this up in phoenix called the Scorcher.. thats exactly waht it was ... Scorching fucking hot!!!! Hopefully more shows like this and others will be put together during the cooler months for a more enjoyable time... although.. some dont mind the heat... but just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in.

Tombstone is a bit cooler than Phx is. It's about 15* cooler there.

I don't care what anybody says, I'm going to be there and have a great time!

Lucky Eddie also put the Scorcher in the middle of freaking August! He did that on purpose, because...well...Phonecians are sado-masochistic when it comes to the summer.

like Jerry said its considerably cooler in tombstone, than it is in phx, i would be so bold as to say at least 20* cooler than Phx, and on average 10-15 degrees cooler than tucson. tombstone is a great town, this is the BEST venue for this type of show, that arizona could ever ask for, and will be one HELL of a great time!!!! last year it was boderline on chilly down there most of the run, and was very comfortable once we got there, plus if you read the flyer its much more than just a "car show" there is 12 bands playing (10 on the flyer) in the Famous Crystal Palace, with drink specials and other promotional stuff, pluse there is going to be about 20 vendors selling hot rod merch, and there is gun fight reinactments, and all kinds of other historical places and events to check out.
this will be unlike anything you have ever gone too,....

weather projection has the temps around 75-80 during this particular weekend

I never doubted the level of enjoyment that this show would produce. i did see the flier and was very happy to see such an event taking place in arizona, as very little does happen to go on around here, with the exception of a few shows put on by the Invaders and Los Desperados & Your club The Sinners as well up in Phx/Tempe area. I have never been to Tombstone, so it was my assumption that in June, seeing as the rest of the state with the exception of flagstaff is a near oven outside, it would be quite hot there. Hopefully it wont be so hot. it would be a pretty hard drive for any car in phx in the summertime tho thats for sure. I have no doubt that my car would make it. but it sure would be a hot, crappy drive. hahah... again. i said as far as i was concerned it's too effing hot to do anything. but if it really is that much cooler down there.. it might be worth a drive down in the daily driver to check out your show and support these type of events, because if we dont support them, then they cant keep happening. I will probably attend the Cinco show up in Phx at the Yucca tap room to help support the events. I will try to make it down to this too.. as i have never been to Tombstone and thoroughly enjoyed the movie!!!!!! haha =D i do like the pictures of the town it looks like an awesome place to have it thats for sure, and there is alot of history in that town so there will be plenty to do. I wish the event success and your club to have a great showing!

YOU ARE CORRECT. the lack of good, fun, events in Arizona is the whole reason we organized this thing. we did it last year and it was a blast. but this year has grown soooo much that it will be that much better.

you know paso robles, viva las vegas, and the round-up all started small like we did in our first years, and grew as we have, hopefully when we are celebrating our 10th anniversary of this show it wont be as restrictive as the others and we will be able to keep it as bad ass and fun as it is now!

believe me when i say you guys dont wanna miss this....

  21. you have missed 3 greaseballs in a row and 5 hot rod a rama's down here that I do every year in late august or october. keep watching the hamb and you will see stuff going on all the time. besides the its a dry heat. last year was primmer run was alot of fun and not hot at all.

Is this show family friendly like VLV because I'd like to take my son and daughter with me. I really want to know what the AZ scene is like. Thanks in advance.

OF COURSE ITS FAMILY FRIENDLY! the town itself is tourist town, and we will be right in the middle of town.

  24. Yes it is a little cooler out here in Cochise County in the daytime & a whole lot cooler at night time! In the daytime I recommend sunscreen, a hat and lots of water on hand. At night time you will need a jean jacket as it actually cools down at night out here unlike Phoenix where it is still 100 degrees when the ten o'clock news comes on! By the way Tombstone is one cool town and Sierra Vista is close by - "Sonic Drive In" on Fry Blvd.:D Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy
