I agree. This appears to be a family, you know; wife, husband and daughter, some at least may still be alive or could be someone here's relatives. Have a little respect and common sense.

Hugh Tucker chevy roadster. One of the baddest street roadsters of all time. Watched it many times at Pomona.

What? I don't know how I got in your backyard. I was simply following the signs for the Newcomb Turk Memorial Library.

Kinda casual on the tying down it seems, I'll bet it made one hell of a racket when it all fell off.

  22. I'm sure there's a car down there somewhere - just thought this was a cool photo of Liberty ships waiting to be scrapped at Tongue Point.

Looks like a younger Dick Simon during his supermodified days in Utah running with CAMRA. Simon was into all kind of things back then including skydiving. At one point he was even interviewed by the FBI because someone thought he might fit the profile of the mysterious D.B. Cooper. He's still racing offshore boats today in his eighties.

BTW, a friend of mine worked for Simon for several years and Dick told him that one of the supers he raced against was a converted Kurtis Novi that ran a big Chevy. To this day one of the old Novis has never been accounted for so this was likely the car.
