I love channeled hot rods... my last rod was a 5" channeled and 5" sectioned '33 ford fiver...
bad back / neck has pushed me to a full height '30 ford coupe on the 6" shortened '33's frame... but I really like the channeled look... nippler.jpg

This style is one that when it looks good its great. But when bad is really bad looking. Most of the bad ones (to my eye) have chunky or crude looking parts. Like too thick frame Z bracing ahead of the firewall. A product of the times and available tin for sure.

You're preaching to the choir here brother. My last 3 builds have all been channeled and fender-less.

That is a real good one. Those subtle, "less-is-more" east coast cars are my favorite. Stared at a lot of little book east coast cars when building my channel/no chop A-coupe.

  8. I have always like channeled car, and never liked chopped cars!

I have ridden in a couple chopped cars no head room, and could not see out the windshield (almost got car sick on a 1/2 mile drive!) I had to scooch so for down to see that I was just about off the seat and sitting on the floor.

Give me head room and the ability to see out of the windshield!

Preach on brother! I have been out of vogue with this for more decades than not. That being said I do like and have lowered and jacked up stock top and chopped machines too. Never have been that keen on tail drag channels , though. Variety is the ****e. Long live the wedge job !! :

Good to see so many full-fendered channelled cars.

fenders add another layer of shape and a "flowing" line over the tires. i prefer cars with fenders and on a channeled car it really is exaggerated.......

I'm in, channel with no chop and fenders. I even kept the bug eye headlights on my truck.
interior room is a little tight, but It fits me perfectly.
