    scoggman,

It is so awesome to see you back! I am glad things have kind of settled down after the accident and that you are somewhat back into the "groove" as it were. Accidents like what you went through are obviously life-changing in big and obvious ways ans also in small and not so obvious ways.

My wife was in a serious accident many years ago. A guy in an S10 Blazer crossed the centerline and hit my wife, her mom, and one of her brothers head-on in our Nissan Sentra. My mother-in-law was killed in the accident and it took the paramedics two hours to cut my wife out of the car and they airlifted her from the scene. Our lives changed that day going forward. They are now divided by the time "before the accident" and the time "after the accident". I suspect you may have a similar reference point in your life as well, but there is no consistent formula in recovering from something like this.

I look forward with anticipation to seeing the Tetanus Tornado II come together and you and your friends tearing it up once again. Go Man Go!

Oh, by the way...you're right!...God IS good!

    Steve

Thanks a lot for sharing! You are 100% accurate about that. I feel like people get tired of me bringing it up sometimes.... but shoot..... it was a pretty big deal.... at least for us!

I texted a guy about some tri-five parts on Craigslist, we started talking and asked him if he had any 350 Chevy parts. He asked me if I had any transmission cores...... so.... now we have a motor....! Traded two turbo 350 cores for a goodwrench block that the guy burned up the thrust bearings pulling a load!

    Stoked!

    Nice!
I love it when parts start falling into place and things come together. Keep at it

Well.... a couple weeks ago I was sniffing around Facebook and I saw a guy that bought a gasser project, but wanted more of a street rod, and was looking for a stock frame. Turns out, the guy was only a few hours away.

So I contacted him and he said that if I was willing to make the drive, he would trade us.

...... So...... the Tetanus Tornado...... is now a gasser![IMG]

Really glad to hear you are better. I like the new "tetanus tornado" even better than I did the original. What are you going to do with the engine and what trans are you going to run?

I traded 2 turbo 350 cores for a 350 that needed bearings. Trying to decide if we need to upgrade to hypereutctic pistons or forged..... Or just run the cast ones.

We picked up a set of craigslist double hump heads.

And my buddy hooked us up with a torquer single plane intake and a 292 comp cam.

We will see how the misfit motor turns out!

But thanks for checking in on us!

    Holy cow!
What a cool bit of happenstance to find someone close by that wanted to do a frame swap. That is awesome!
I sure like how this is coming together and am enjoying your progress

If I were you I might buy a set of cast four valve relief flattops. The stock 350 piston of the type the goodwrench engines used is not a good performance piston at all.
