Hey guys I need a favor, actually a measurement. I'm getting ready to set up the front axle on my 31 tudor and I was wondering if someone that has model a sitting in the garage could take a quick measurement for me.

All I want is a quick measurement between the top center of the front axle straight up to the bottom of the spring.

It's a stock style spring over axle AND yes I understand that each car will be different but it will give me a rough idea of where I'm at.

    Thanks gents!

Do you want this measured with the wheels on the ground?

Also too, could you also mention if your spring has reversed eyes or not on your measurement.

I want the measurement off of a completed car. This way I can get an idea of the spring height loaded. I will rough set my axle and then figure out 4 bar heights and brackets.

Sorry, not exactly to your criteria, but the best I can do. Bare frame, stock spring, no engine, 5 and 5/8 inches.

Fenderless, no interior, no floor, head is off, all bone stock '30 coupe.
I'm getting 4-1/4 from the top of the axle to the bottom of the spring.

Thanks guys! I was figuring around 4" just looking at pics.

Now I'll set my front axle ***embly in place, clamp the spring down to 4" & see how my 4 bar geometry looks to the frame and ground. I want to get an idea to see how the rear frame brackets check to height.
