So got some time to run up to daytona this weekend for the turkey run and figured i should do an update. I got the windshield finished and about to order the wood for the interior. I got myself some 16 inch spoked wheels for a steal fat 100 bucks. Now its deciding whether to run a 32 grill or a stock A grill??? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
100 bones for those?! Ooohhh... I hate you so much! As for the endless debate over the A or Deuce, it's a matter of taste. You see so many 32's cause they simply look great on an A. I'm keeping the stock A grill on my coupe, cause I wanna be different!
With the body channeled, it's going to look funny unless you cut down the height of the grill regardless of the one you use.
The Homogonized Thread awaits you......just kidding. The old Model A rad/shell get replaced all to often...and it was and is a period choice either way...Good on you keeping it 2Low.
@Spencer Caldwell as @1946caddy said and we know its early in the going but it is asthetically important to notch and drop the shell to maintain body flow. Sometimes its a challenge but hey thats life in the fast lane...your cars looking pretty cool. Its got that 40's look evolving if thats what your aiming for...
Of course gentleman i know i need to chop down the grill i love the way both look thats the hard part!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Stogy i am going for 40s maybe early 50s!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I vote A if that helps...the polling pressure starts now...it may be close and of course theres a coin... One pro for the A shell is it is Shiny...
I've already got the 32 shell for mine but it isn't going to be channeled and it will have fenders and a dropped headlight bar. But that is just because that is the way I always envisioned it. More what a mid 50's hot rodder would have done when he stuffed a V8 in his Model A and used a stock 32 radiator and shell to get a radiator without having to pay a radiator shop to build one.
