The Marriott huh? The boys are going upscale Do we have to dress up like going to prom? Being familiar with their parking lot over there - where do all their hotel guests park once we take over the lot? Not that I care about their guests, but I wonder if the hotel really has a clear vision of what they've gotten themselves into This should be interesting!
We feel that this bigger parking lot and location will be ideal, plus partying at the hotel before and after the show will be outstanding. Drinks will be sold and can be on the parking lot ground during show. Since you are familiar with the parking lot, we are using the far east parking lot for the show, some vendors, a band, etc, then inside we are using a 'ball room' to place a band, vendors and liquor. Because we are 'renting' this ballroom, we will have parking available for people who are coming w/ 'regular' cars. The remaining non-show related hotel people will be able to park on the south/west side of the hotel. Oh, the after party for the show will be located in the Hotel Bar. Specials on drinks will be available, probably Jack & Coke. You ask good questions, but last night at our meeting, I think the quote: "I don't think this hotel understands what they are getting themselves into" came up several times, but the money they will make in liquor, food and room sales will keep them happy....hopefully...
I have been to car shows there, where the whole hotel is takin over for the weekend. It should be alot of fun. I know I won't miss it. Glad to here about the date. see you all there.
Already looking forward to it. Regarding the other Marriott guests...reminds me of a memory from many years ago when I was staying in a room near the very top of that place and was sitting in the room waiting for a friend to come & pick me up. Even 15 or so floors up, I heard a rumble outside the window and turned to another friend and said "Gordy's here" - stood up and looked out the window and way down below and sure enough, it was him pulling into the parking lot! The moral of THAT story?....Everyone who is staying at that hotel will be part of the show - wether they like it or not! And for anyone thinking about it...you must attend this show! The previous 2 were a damn good time!
Thanks my man. We are hoping it will be fun w/o having to change a whole lot of what we've done in the past. We are actually trying to make this more fun. My point of view on this is when I go to Billetproof or wherever out of the area, staying at the hotel and drinking and partying is so fun, but we want to have that AND have the show If you drink, then you can cruise up to your room and sleep or whatever Plus, tons of shade in that parking lot. We are also going to try to keep the prices of food/bev decent unlike when you to Denio's or the Movies and a coke costs 79.99...and thats a small. Probably a couple drink specials...Jack and Coke, Beer..whatever
I've been waiting for the dates since last year. I had a blast, and am looking forward to it again this year. I'm thinking we will get a room, since Mac and I almost murdered each other on the drive home to San Jose.

Cool. I attended the show last year with my family (wife and 2 girls, age 4 and 8). This show was great, but not really kid friendly. So, I will be there this year with my buddies. Mike
