My current project has a Ch***is Engineering crossmember with a two pedal setup. I have another crossmember but don't have another two pedal setup. With Ch***is Engineering going out of business, what are my options for a two pedal setup? Thanks.
How about an original Ford pedal set out of something like a 40 Ford? Might need to tilt the angle of the leg a little to match the bracket though.
39 Ford pedals? Don't know what angle of the CE x-member leg is to the C/L, but the 39 hooks up the clutch to the inside. I modified a set of 34 pedals that bolt in, clear the x member leg, and link the clutch to the inside.
I have the 39 pedals in CEs 32 X member. I researched placement through HAMB and had to cut up the X member and relocate and change the angle of the mounting bracket. I found photos and in here. You have to heavily cut and fabricate a U shaped piece to allow the clutch pedal to fit down in the frame. Sorry I don't have the sites, but they are here. I have fitted every thing, but need to do finish welding and box the area. I am using a 39 X member on my 34.
Cutting the big notch in the xmember leg for clutch pedal clearance is what lead me to use the modified 34 pedals. They eliminated that. (sorry for the HUGE pic, that's how it pasted.) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tech-my-take-on-33-34-hydraulic-brake-pedals.437187/
