  2. I usually use a pair of channel locks or wide vise grips and VERY delicately grip as much of the keeper sides as possible and sort of wiggle it clockwise and counterclockwise unscrew it from the pin. All the time making certain no tilting of the channel locks and pin damage/snapping off. Is that an emblem that can easily be replaced?

  3. I use pliers and try to unscrew them counter clockwise while gently pulling up on them trying to make it make its own thread.

‘56 Olds “88” badges. Rare, but not impossible to replace I suppose.

  5. Use two putty knives- one on either side of the post- to gently pry the clip up and off the post.

Dremel tool with the little cut off wheel, cut the retainer in half , it will fall right off.
    Just be careful!

I typically use a dental pick to slip under it and push out on the tangs. You have to be patient and work back and forth several times.

  10. Dremel for me...don't forget safety glasses then run a die over it to tread a nut on the stud for installation.

I was wondering if the chromed cast metal would take a thread. That would make reassembly a lot cleaner.

Yep, small screwdriver into the slot to open them up, then you can flatten them back out and reuse them if you are putting the emblem s back on.
