I've searched the internet for days and days and cannot find an answer to the question. What is this air cleaner off of? Year, make, model, whatever leads me to finding the answer, so I can track down a pair of these. 4 3/8" overall dia. and 2 1/4" carb opening.

Its one of those Cragar Belt-driven air cleaners, you need to fill it with blinker fluid before you run it though.
Honestly though, no clue. sorry. looks cool, wish you luck.

Not thinking marine as I don’t see flame arrestors unless they have been removed.

Is it oil bath or did it have just mesh inside?

Any stmpings or numbers on em?

I don't have them, missed out on eBay. Don't think they're oil bath, looks like screen and filter gauze material. Isn't 2 1/4" a single barrel carb size? Would small engine be that big?

The slots around the top are very similar too a 1950 Plymouth Suburban air cleaner but, those are dome topped and do not split in the center like these air cleaners. Also, I believe these are smaller diameter.

Figured it out. 1931-33 Chevrolet 1 1/2t truck. Now, I'm looking for 2 of them, any ideas on where/who to ask?

  12. Good if you figured it out. They is what they is.
I was going to say that they looked like some kind of exhaust muffler, maybe from a small, stationary power maker. That heavy casting is the curious thing.

My second guess would have been some kind of vintage motorcycle intake/filter.
