    Hi folks,
I bought a '36 Ford with a McCullough supercharger model 38F. The driver side upper radiator hose was squashed and I tried to build a plumbing solution. Any Hamber's have a prettier solution for this plumbing quagmire? I'd love to hear from anyone else running a post '38 FOrd with a McCullough supercharger in a '36 Ford.
    Thank you!

You have a fairly late version of the blower. The earlier models used much smaller water hoses in a by-p*** arrangement. The earliest models had not water flow in the blower housing. I thing that you can have the hose go directly from radiator to the head with a smaller tube feeding the blower. See the attached picture.

This is my 1937 super charger. I believe the 1938 is just about the same except the reinforcement under the drive snout is made on an angle instead of straight. super 002.JPG

The 39s have a small hose that tees into the left radiator hose. 20171107_125927.jpg

WTF really, Here's a pic of p***enger side from a couple of weeks ago, I've since relocated the oil filter and coil.

FritzJr, Perhaps I could feed the supercharger with smaller hoses, but I think that compromises the design intent, even if earlier versions got by with smaller hoses. Maybe a solution would be to move the radiator port to the back side of the radiator, then the top of the supercharger could be fed more directly. I'm not sure if I would change both sides of the radiator or just one, or how that would affect cooling.

Roadster1927, cool pic of your 1937 unit, quite a few differences, small pipe exiting supercharger gear box, rear belt drive, oil cup shaft lube, its really very different.

They sure made a lot of changes, 37, 38 and 39, I wonder what a 40 looks like?
Anyone have thoughts on moving the driver side radiator outlet from bottom to back side?
Anyone know how many of this style McCullough supercharger were made and for how many years?

Here is a picture of a later unit with the smaller hose connection for the water outlet. I think this is a Model 40M.

Here is a picture of a later unit in a '36. The blower is the model with the large hose connections in the upper housing and lower housing. I believe this is how this model blower was supposed to be plumbed.

    FritzJR,
That's it, modify the radiator and eliminate the crazy plumbing.
I'd love to see a pic of the p***enger side.
    Thank you so very much!
