went to install my 54 lower valance on the 53 fenders and to my dismay huh they dont fit im very upset guess 53 and 54 fenders are different couple of people thought they were the same guess ill have to deal with it huh
The fenders are definitely different from the parking lights down. This is a common mistake people make. There are many similarities in the cars, but also some major differences and all I can say is to study them before purchasing anything. If you have any questions about these things drop me a PM as I have learned quite a bit over the last 5 or 6 years of collecting stuff for these cars. If you need a '53 valance I know where there is a junkyard with one, but he's pretty pricey and shipping would probably be pretty bad. Josh
