I just tried to get on to the Jockey Journal from work. The company has blocked it. Just what goes on over there?

Everyone knows where there's bikes, there's naked boobies.

  5. I agree that it was wrong to block any site, they should have the balls to just fire your lazy ass!!

I have the same problem with the H.A.M.B. at work. If any of the threads have too much profanity or "questionable" words in them, they get blocked.

My work blocks some sites too.

Want to scare yourself? One could read the Constitution as only applying to the Gov't not being able to censor you. Private business/individuals could potentially not be bound by the same rules. Case in point.... Walmart does not carry explict versions of some recording artists music. Effectively censoring their speach. And it's legal. Scary!

  10. There was actually a case recently where a guy got fired for surfing the net at work. he had been told by his boss 10 times not to do it but he still did...When he got fired he sued his company for violating his right. the courts determined that surfing the web was the same as reading a paper at work...

Personally I think it is bullshit. I tell the people that work for me that as long as they are getting their work done I have no problem with them on the net ( as long as they are not doing one of the following: posting resumes, looking for a better job, going to inapropriate webs sites, sniping me on e-bay).

Actually, the Constitution DOES only apply to what the Gov. can/cannot do. That's the point of a constitution. The rest of it is handled by the law.

As far as Walmart/KMart/Target/Sam Goody/anyone else who sells music/books/magazines, etc., just because you (a collective you, meaning everyone, not you in particular) has something to say doesn't mean that anyone else is required to provide access to it. Ever notice that Walmart doesn't sell Swank either?
