Hello everyone, New to the forum and brand new to this social group. I just brought home my new project today and will be starting work on it soon. Most of my background is in other types of cl***ics so I feel a bit out of my league on this one but I am excited to start.

Got what I feel is a pretty screaming deal on it. Its spent the past 33 years sitting and seems to be mostly complete. I will get a better inventory of what is there and what isnt tomorrow when I wake up.

The Plan: The plan is to address the missing keys, put on some rubber that holds air, take inventory, clean up the interior and get a real idea of what it is that I am working with.

The plan is to build it into a clean running weekend cruiser.

Things I would like to do in addition to the necessities: lower the stance, disc brakes, convert to 12v, eventually a larger engine.

Lots and lots of that missing trim is sitting in the back seat and trunk right now, no clue how much of it is missing.

Most of everything is there. The radiator and gas tank are new, or rebuilt.

The deal also came with a lot of misc parts that do not go to the car, 3 motors, a bumper to a 50's VW 3 extra unidentified rims and at least one unidentified bumper

??? theres a crank for it too but its nice and rusty.

This looks a lot like the 239 that is in the car now.

I intend to sell all 3 of these motors to help fund the project but I have very little idea of what they are worth, so some research is in order there.

Flathead is a 46-48 59A. If you decide to part ways with it i may be interested.

Thank you everyone. I am already having fun with the car. Today was spent cleaning out and organizing. I have a somewhat better idea of what is there and what is missing...radio def missing, the bird hood ornament is def missing. Found some other neat stuff. Phamphlets etc

I cant remember the last time I saw budweiser bottles in this size and style...unfortunately empty but still kinda neat

I might find a way to incorporate this crate into the car... spare fluids and whatnot.

Their not white walls I know but they roll. At this stage Im just trying to show the neighbors that I dont plan to leave it ugly for too long. Its also under a cover now. Im going to vaccuum the 30+ years of dust and dirt out. Next step I think will be body work...

Im sort of having that mental wrestling match about how far back to peel it....do I want to frame off or no? its a tough one.

I plan to part with all 3 of those spares. You are refering to the bare block correct? No idea what any of those 3 are worth though.
