what do you suggest about a guy that does this ? Fellow HAMBER interested in a part, asked for more photos, I sent close ups that are very good and clear, this fella said it was just what he was looking for so I sent the part (he paid for), after he received the part he paid for in advance he decides he doesn't want it and sends it back without even so much as a phone conversation ! I contacted him on the situation and he made demands, accusations, then started name calling. I told him I wasn't in the parts business. I'm just a guy with 32 Ford parts for sale, I also told him I would post and try to sell the part for him. If he wants to pay for shipping I will return his part to him. I already paid the shipping cost once.
any advise would be considered. MIKE

It sounds like you did all you can do for now. If he wants it back have him send the amount for shipping. It sounds like he has not bought much online from regular people.

Sounds like you tried to make it right. You never mention why the buyer wasn’t happy??

  4. I would tell the kid to kick rocks. You did what he asked, he paid and it's a done deal. As far as his name calling goes water off a ducks back. I'd consider screen shot our conversations from the beginning to have as ammo just in case he tries to trash you on any forum you can post them. But even then that guys an idiot for not calling before sending something back, who does that...."Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices" I read that once and strongly believe that. Lastly send him a message and tell him your sorry but all sales were final once he sent payment. He did not stipulate his conditions after the pictures you sent him......GOOD LUCK MAN. THE KIDS OWN IMPULSE CREATED HIS OWN CONSEQUENCE. HAVE HIM UNDERSTAND THAT AS OPPOSED TO TRYING TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF TO HIM ANY FURTHER

  5. Did he give a reason for wanting his money back?

Not that your a store with a returns policy , just a guy with parts.

Sounds like you were honest in your description and pics etc.

If he just has buyers remorse or find one cheaper. Tell him to go cry into mommas apron.

He bought it he owns it, just keep it until he ask for it back, then have him send you the shipping cost.

it's the consumer mindset these days. buy, return. buy, then USE, return. take back policies should be a good thing to protect the consumer of fraud, but it has bred a bunch of irresponsible buyers.
your not home depot or walmart.........tell him it is his problem.

What are the parts? I'm always in need of more 32 parts. Maybe you can sell them again and avoid the messy situation.

Pretty well sums it up. He asked, you provided, he bought, you shipped he received, end of transaction. He sends them back no explanation, you never received them. Call him out as a scammer.

As a UPS driver I see this a lot. Example, I deliver in my own neighborhood. Local guy I know who is VERY wealthy orders several tents, tables, etc for his daughters graduation party from Amazon. Uses them, reboxes them and has Amazon pick them up on their dime for stated reason wrong size/color. Each box (five total) was over 100 LBS. I'm betting the guy here thought he was buying from Amazon not a private party.

As I see it he made every effort to view it as best as can be done with a camera. You acted in good faith after he accepted the pictures as correct. I believe he owns it period. And if it breaks, he owns both halfs.

    You have choices.

Call him names right back and tell him to pound sand.

Keep the part and sell it again, send him his $$$ less a commission for selling HIS stuff.

If it's small enough that shipping is just a few bucks then send it back with no explanation.

Let the whole mess marinate for a while until he reaches back out to you, then act accordingly.

Finally, spill it out bruz. What's the part? Show it to us. If you're gonna air those undies in public let us all see the skid marks...

You say your not in the parts business but looking at your profile you don't participate in any of the forums but constantly post in the cl***ifieds.

I don't have a dog in this fight and wonder if the other person is a hamber and just what the part is. HRP

I would get some dollar store "Awesome" cleaner and wash the **** out of it. Take new pictures and send em along with a note that says "Better?" Or again, let it all sit for a while and let the smoke clear. That can't be a cheap part.

  21. I didn't say you were name calling. You mentioned that he was. So I said "like water off a ducks back". Which means let it roll off and don't entertain that childish antic.

From past experience, from buying..I always take my licks good or bad..if you agree to buy it's yours in my eyes.. and take it for what it is.. you bought it good or bad it's yours...send it back to him.. don't drop to his level with name calling..gets no where..
