I do see a lever of some kind with a knob at the upper end,,

 

My dad's 1st car in 1952, Lindsay Calif.

 

I see it on the right rear....

 

Is that really the original body buck for the C1 Corvette?

 

Guy worked all his life at the shunting yard behind the Railway station. Told his wife when he retires he would build a camper so they could travel all over America.

Stop by this place on our move to California from Canada in 1961.

 

Any other old-timers out there that ran the 1/8th mile drags at the old Sacramento fairgrounds? The strip was actually part of the long straightaway of the road course. I ran my '57 Chevy there a few times, late 50's and early 60's.
