I'm pretty sure it was fatman that sold them.. BIG MONEY>>>I went thru the same **** on my '50 plymouth. I ended up useing S-10 4X4 steel wheels that are 6" wide. Close but do not rub. (most S-10 wheels are 7" you gotta search)

I've seen ECI new narrow track rotors in a mag. I think it moved the wheels in 2 inches for about $500. I also think someone around here has narrowed there control arms but I don't remember who. I was planing to use a set of 4x4 S-10 wheels on my dodge the offset should work and my caps will cover the ugly wheels.

  5. I ordered WV chromies w 4 1/4 BS, which is as much as I can do as there is about 1/8 to 1/4" room b4 I get into the tie rods, so i am done there , looks like I'll stay w the orig. plan of doing radius'd wheelwells up front whille keeping the orig. fender lip shape to get more room moving it up 2" ,I'll just stay as it is for now for sure . I am done working on this cars body this season, that stuff gets old fast for me .

FYI.. Even with the 6" wide S-10 wheels, I had to use a wheel spacer to clear my tierod ends.

Mike - I have seen folks who can weld well shorten the stock a -arms. Tube control arms are high. There is a company called Pole Position that sells adjustable A arms so you can get your caster right too. I ran into the situation of not being able to shim the a arms enough to get any caster.

I wish I had a stock suspension sometimes.

Cut out the nova subframe and clip it with a S-10. They're plenty narrow.

That might be me that 46mopar was talking about. I've got my 41 subbed with a 74 Nove and the stock a-arms are narrowed 1 1/2 per side. You might PM Charlie Chops1940 and see if he might be interested in building you a pair. When we were building my car he made a jig to shorten them, made it so he could do them 1" or 1 1/2". Back in 95 Fatman only wanted $595 and I thought that was to much. You also can use the metric rotors and calipers which are supposed to narrow it up by about the same amount. I think Enjenjo has all the particulars on that set-up. I know what you mean as far as backspace. On my cpe I'm running a 6" wheel with 4 3/8 B.S. and had to go to 75 series tires because the 70's were a hair to wide and I was rubbing them on the tie rod even when I put in a 1/8" spacer

...a friend of mine has a Nova sub under his 40 Ford coupe; he installed S-10 spindles which gained a couple inches but I don't know all the details.Maybe someone else knows more about this swap.
