    Hey RM,

On one of our Northwest driving trips, we took the drive from Ashland, OR to Klamath Falls via an old open space road that is politically incorrect in naming. We ended up at the Lake of The Woods for a short snack, then the drive continued to the Upper Klamath Lake into the city of Klamath Falls.

That drive was so much fun because we saw maybe two cars headed in the opposite direction and no one going our way toward the Lake of The Woods. At each destination, there were more cars and people, but that empty road was a blast. Driving by the Klamath Lake was pretty nice, too.

The town of Klamath Falls is a small town and it is about the size, population wise, of So Cal’s Laguna Beach. (although, it takes a little while longer to drive through Laguna Beach from south to north than Klamath.) Our destination was the really, small town of Newell and adjoining, Tulelake just over the Oregon/California border. This area is barren compared to So Cal. First time in this area where I was born in over 50+ years.

There were no hot rods or customs on this drive, but a lot of old Ford and Chevy pickup trucks in all stages of use and misuse. It certainly was different than living along the So Cal coast.

Yeah he forgot to mention a few minor differences.
Like, Twin Carbs, No Air Filter, Alternator on the other side, Different headers, Different Coil mounting.

"we have the same rocker covers and oilpan" would have been more accurate :D

Did any fellow Oregonians feel the Willamette Valley earthquake tonight, a 4.0.
Nearly the same spot as a much stronger one in 1993.

Fortunately not as bad as this one.

I wouldn't say that! If the 32 is the same one in his avatar, it is definitely of topic
Don't confuse "of topic" with "off topic":D

I would like to own a car of that type [actually both cars that are mentioned]

My comments were meant to be "tougue in cheek" humour, so if Deuce Daddy Don was offended in any way... I apologise

This is the "vintage shots from days gone by" thread (1966 and earlier) which the Cobra is (just barely perhaps) but a very recent pic of the 32 is not. This has been pointed out repeatedly by the moderators who define this site as having a "traditional" focus.
The thread title is pretty clear it seems to me..:)

Cobra is not "just barely perhaps" as Shelby had produced a bunch prior to '65. Doesn't seem like picking on Don for no good reason is exactly in what is supposed to be a friendly spirit of this thread. I don't look here to see a bunch of trivial nitpicking, It's the photos and cars like Don's that make it interesting.

Love the car. But the color seems a little off for 1950, and the windshield has a sun-shade band on the top. I'm guessing a long-ago refurbishment.
