I will second the recommendation for the Diamond back tires. I have had mine on my '51 Merc. for close to 10 years now and the white wall look new. I admit I am **** about cleaning them. the trick is to follow their instructions on tire care. I used to use Westley's Bleach white, white wall cleaner, but they have been bought out. the new company's stuff works just as well, but I do not remember the name off hand and the stuff is not handy to get to at the moment. also try to keep the white wall clean, and clean any skuff, or dirt, oil, or black marks off as soon as possible to keep from taking a set. if that happens you will have to use a bit of scotch brite along with the cleaner. use only fine scotch brite. if left to log it may take a permanent set and not come off completely . hope this helps.

x3 Diamond Back. When in storage go white to white or black to black ,never store with the white wall touching the black wall of another tire. Simple green also works great to clean up.

Diamondback or B.F. Goodrich. Search this site for this subject before you buy Coker's.

I had Coker radials, I like the Diamond back better due to the tread design. I'm not sure why I bought Coker, sold the car before they had 1,000 miles on them.

I have had coker , diamond backs and cali . couldn't ever balance the cokers and had some that split at the tread. I like diamond back and cali. cali are a lot less money . some cases 1/2 the price of diamond back and the same quality and process to build. also cali ship out super fast

Diamond back uses new radial tires and vulcanizes the whitewall to the tire, they use to use Michelin tires I am unsure what they use now.

Personally I prefer bias ply tires. HRP

People always give good reviews on Cali , unless I got one bad set that's not there typical work I couldn't buy them again and I've bought tires from all three makers but they're the cheapest so idk maybe when I'm in the market again I might give them another chance

  14. For WW cleaning, I’ve found nothing better than Triple Clean from your local FORD Parts Dept. For vinyl seats, tires, convertible tops. Hope they still sell it, I’m almost out.

A friend put Cokers on his Merc and it wandered all over the road until he jacked the tire pressure to 35 lbs. Then it was sort of better. He is still not happy with them.
