Jefferson Swap Meet this weekend, Who's going?

Anyone else going to find deals at SBC Mullet heaven? The best parts of it being a predominantly SBC/muscle car swap is that all the cool vintage stuff usually goes for cheap

 

I'll be there Saturday, sifting through the piles of used window airconditioners and junk snowmobile parts to find 1 or 2 real hot rod parts....

Jefferson used to be a good swap 15 years ago, now....like most of them, it's beannie babes, t-shirts, vacuum cleaners and some late-model parts.

yeah it used to be alot better, but there is still stuff to be had...

of course, they are calling for rain on saturday.....

 

Any Hamb Members Selling In Jefferson?

 

Its Jefferson weekend, did you expect anything other then rain or some other ****py weather? I'm bringing my boots, rain poncho, and some cash. I have a list, and one of the things on my list I know I will find is one of those big ice cream bars. mmmmmm.

Gunna be there Sat. How about a HAMB meet-n-greet at the grandstands (the end towards the buildings) around noonish?

Yeah, those big ice creams are awesome. Usually is my first money spent. I guess I'm driving a car down for Cliffy to put in the corral. I'm hoping for Saturday only but Cliffy wants to go down on Friday.

I agree that you have to sift through alot of ****, but some deals are usually still there to be found. Then again, I really like buying ****.

What portion of the grandstands are you talking about meeting at? Depending where I am at noon, maybe I'll stop by also.

and you say sbc stuff is plentifull.... it should be called mopar mullet nationals
but i did find a tailgate for my ranger for $20
and i bought a mig machine from the miller booth
i'll be ther on sat.. with my hemmings bag a diet coke and smile

Trying to catch a ride with a VW friend although I might bring the new parts hauler (92 Ranger 2.3l) incase I find a good deal on something big! See you all there.

It's also fun counting how many mullets and pairs of sweat pants you see in an hour - the average m.p.h (mullet per hour) at Jefferson is about 7-8.

The average s.p.p.h. (sweat pants per hour) is closer to 11-13.

Count for yourself if you don't believe me, and remember the numbers are an average- have fun and see you there!

Garage Days at Hot Rod Ch***is and Cycle is the place to be this Saturday.

 

Ya that would be cool And I would Love to come down if for no other reason to hag out with the crew down there ...but just not in the cards for me this year, when Jefferson is only 35 min away and gas going up i 'm staying closer to home this weekend ....have fun guys !

 

I think I am still going. I need some late model parts (s10) and not to mention 48 Ford and 29 Ford pick up parts too. Yea you got to sift threw the junk to find gold sometimes.
I would be in for a M&G (meet and greet) if I got time. It is a big place.

I was planning on taking the wife's PT to save a little gas money, but if its raining, I might take the 50 Dodge 4x4, maybe I can make a few bucks dragging guys out of the mud....Na, I'd probably just get stuck myself and break something trying to get out. I'm hoping to get there early enough to park in someone's front yard along the street.

I've found everything from old Triumphs to old Chevy truck parts at Jefferson, Been going down to see Esse's little swap meet for 25 years, This year my goal is an old leaky canoe for a sidecar project. See ya'll there Saturday.

 

I always felt like Iola was more mullets than jefferson!I'll be there Friday afternoon and Saturday

I'd like to go down Saturday but that place is a mess when it rains.Besides I have a big party to go to at Sparkys place on Saturday.We'll probably be coming down on Sunday all hung over.Those of you going to hotrod ch***is and cycle, have a great time.Louverdude and I were just there a couple weeks ago, great place and great people.Hope to see some of you on Sunday.

I'll be there Friday and Saturday in the cars for sale trying to seel my 66 Pontiac wagon I'll try to be at the grandstands at noon if not stop by my wagon and say hi

 

I won't be there till sunday. Thats ok though because you find alot of "I don't want to haul it home again" deals

 

Me and CHEVYGUNS are going.If we are close at noon we'll head to the grand stands for the meet.

 

I'll be there Saturday looking for the few a far between flathead speed stuff and anything else I can't live without. If I'm still there at noon I'll come by the grandstands for a visit.

 

Yeah, the Flathead stuff is really few and far between. I saw a few complete engines there last fall, but a little pricey. Not much speed stuff though. Bummer.
