Not that its probably much help, I know that Nicson made a fair amount of auto speed equipment before focusing on just marine applications.
And while I personally haven't found much info on 'em, there seems to be alot of nicson loyalty on some of the classic GMC sites, since Nicson apparently was big into the stovebolt aftermarket (though they did also make some Ford stuff too.)

I know they made ALOT of boat speed stuff, for ALOT of different engine applications...

They also did make speed parts for regular cars as well...
Like for Chevy inline six engines, 216, 235 etc. I know they made intakes, headers, heads, side covers, and valve covers for those engines in particular as well...
(p.s.- I'm always looking for Chevy 216/235 Nicson stuff...
    ESPECIALLY a side cover for a 235..!!)

I've seen intakes for other engines including Ford, Oldsmobile, and Chevy V8s too...

I have some ads, and a sticker, and a book that is on inline engines that has some cool pics... No working scanner right now or I'd hook you up...
I'll save this thread and when I have it working, I'll hook you up...

I have one of their aluminum race car gas pedals. I think I am going to donate it to be used in my friend Hooley's Bonneville car.

I've got a set of 324 Olds marine exhaust manifolds. Can't use em on my car but they make great wall hangers.

I have one Nicson flame arrestor on my nailhead The other is a Badger Products. They appear to be about the same age and are surprisingly similar.

I have 6 of the 2 5/8" air cleaners and a boat parts catalog. I think Nicson went out of business around 1990. My dad got the catalog at a sale after they closed up shop.

I've had Nicson stuff as follows:

--early Olds 2x4 intake without the water crossover (can't remember if the carb pads were tilted as marine intakes had them or not)
    --finned aluminum Pontiac timing cover
--finned aluminum Ford FE timing cover
--finned aluminum late Olds (350/455) timing cover

I think I've also seen SBC and BBC timing covers at the swaps before too.

PS, if anyone has another Nicson timing cover for the late Olds, I know a guy that needs one.

I had a bbc finned timing cover, my understanding is that they did concentrate on boat stuff. the guy who bought it off me was running a bbc in a boat and from memory had other nicson stuff to match.

Have a Nicson dual quad manifold for my 331 Cadillac. Seems like they switched over to Marine products in the 60's. I'm pretty sure they're still in that business today.

Here's some Nicson stuff I have from my collection of junk. If anyone has one of these flame arrestors they want to part with I'm looking for another.

Nicson is long gone but Glenwood is still around. They are in Gardena, CA and still make alot of old skool marine speed equipment. They might have some stuff you are looking for.

  22. I managed to pick up a Nicson foot pedal a couple of years back for about $40. Came with a mount (that I figure attaches to the inner wall of a boat's hull), cable and chromed cable runner. A little too "late" for what I want to build....so it'll probably just hang on the wall forever. A neat piece though.....even though when I bought it I didn't know who/what Nicson was.
